Non-Alcoholic Bzzr-up Funding
Hello Clubs and Sports,
As many of you may already know, $1500 dollars was allotted in the LSS budget for "non-alcoholic bzzr-ups." The first event to qualify for these funds was the recent Root Bzzr Up hosted by the Law Students for Choice. The LSS has now devised policy for approving events for to receive this funding.
To qualify, your event must meet the following criteria:
1. Each grant will be for $250. This will be added to your current funding. This means that there are currently 5 more opportunities to host a non-alcoholic beer up.
2. Event must be held on a Friday afternoon in place of a beer up. The even can not occur on the same afternoon as a beer up. For a list of beer up dates, consult the Event Calendar at www.ubclss.org.
3. It must be for the social benefit of the entire student body. The primary focus of the event should not be to advocate your club or team's particular cause. It should simply be a way to unwind for the entire student body.
4. Must be a non-alcoholic event.
5. The 5 grants will be awarded to the first five clubs to develop compliant, executable events.
